Inspiration, inspired, creativity, ideas

Us as humans, we love inspiration. Think about it… do you recall when you got to read an inspirational quote? It made you feel pretty good, didn’t it. Think about how often you read, or perhaps even post one here and there on your social media pages.

Inspiration, to be inspired, inspired, transformation, creativity, freedom, deliverance, courage, peace, MLK, Martin Luther King

Have you ever given it a thought on who or what your biggest inspirations have been throughout your life so far? Think back for a moment to when you were maybe six or seven years old… Was it an older sibling of yours? Maybe a cousin you got to see a couple of times a year? Perhaps it was even that movie, or Disney cartoon you watched that made you want to be this rich, incredibly talented and beautiful princess waiting for the prince of yours. Maybe your inspiration was someone else’s life or story.

The not so Good of Inspiration

Inspirations are a great thing, a great motivation. You can always be inspired by others, but DON’T LOSE YOURSELF in their identity! Their story is not yours, and you are not them. Their race is not for you to run, and vice versa. So again… Be encouraged, be motivated by their inspiration. But don’t fall into the trap of trying to be them, because you’ll be very disappointed in yourself when things don’t go that way.

From your very beginning when you were first created, you were created as you. You were made to be you… not them, not anybody else. The one and only magnificent you! And you are the only one knowing who you really, truly are. Sometimes we come to the moment where we are not quite sure, or think we forgot. But reality is, you will never forget who you really are. Sometimes we get distracted from remembering who we are. But deep inside the real you is always there no matter how hard you fight it, no matter how hard you try to hide it.

The Right Circle

Having people being close to you can be a great thing, and helpful at the same time. But make sure you are very selective on who to pick as your close circle of people. There is nothing wrong with asking them every now and then what they see in you, or think of you… But realize, whatever they say, you don’t have to believe or accept as who you are, or go off that, just because it’s people close to you that said it. Also, if they mention something that you know is true, maybe even noticed about yourself before, that you don’t really like, you don’t have to stick with it. You can always make changes and adjustments in your life. But as mentioned a couple of weeks back, it has to be you wanting it, and doing it for yourself in order to do so.

The Good of Inspiration

Inspired, inspiration, faith, heaven, idea, focus, eyes on God

Here is the good part of an inspiration when it truly is an inspiration… It can motivate you to do better than where you currently are. It allows you to be different, and accept yourself. Inspiration helps you to love yourself just the way you are. It helps you to love the way you were created to be. And that is amazing! That also encourages you and motivates you to become an inspiration to others. Also realize that what might inspire you, might not inspire your best friend, or someone else, and that’s okay. Everyone runs (or should run) their own race.

Inspirations can give you new ideas. It can re-sparkle your creativity. If you allow a great leader to inspire you, it might re-motivate you in great ways. It might be that inspiration that let’s you know that you can do great things in life, and can accomplish things that others have told you, you couldn’t. It could be that inspiration that breaks you free from shackles that have been keeping you inside ‘the box’ someone long time has placed you in, and told you, you have to fit it.

Needing a Refresher

So do you know what and who inspires you? Why is that inspiring you? What about it is inspiring you? Have you ever created a vision board? Have you ever written down some things you want to accomplish in life? Or maybe some simple things you would like to do?

No fear, fly, free, freedom, inspired, inspiration, creative, creativity

There are so many simple things that can be an inspiration as well… Just going outside, and go for a walk. Maybe do a short drive to a little bit of a different scenery. When new ideas come up, write them down… no matter how unrealistic they might sound or seem at the moment.

It Started with that Small Idea

Think about it, the very beginning of the internet, or Microsoft, or Amazon. It was an idea. Something that was thought about. Other people told them is crazy and completely unrealistic. And believe it or not, someone else might have a very similar idea, but is intimated to share it, because they think it’s a crazy idea. Perhaps they’re intimidated to share it, because they are worried about what other people might think of them if they do so. Step outside of your comfort zone, the constant familiar, and let that inspire you. Get out of the daily routine we get caught so easily in.

When was the last time you’ve just taken a day for yourself? When was the last time you’ve taken any time for yourself at all? Have you ever taken yourself on a date? I know it might sound a little off, but trust me, it makes you feel pretty amazing. The whole nine yards… Go get your nails done. Dress up. Make yourself feel good. Take yourself to your favorite restaurant, and finish the night with a great bubble bath. It will make you feel so good about yourself. And it is completely okay to do so! There is nothing selfish about you taking care of yourself, and treating yourself for as valuable as you are! Keep in mind, there is only one you… and that is pretty valuable if you ask me!

Finding Inspiration or Re-Inspiration

Read, creative, creativity, love, idea, inspire, inspires, inspiration, inspired

This week, take some time to watch a great movie and fully absorb it, meaning: Watch it with no other distractions. Fully enjoy every moment of it.

I like to read… but often use the excuse of not having the time to do so. Because of that, I started this thing of just reading 2-4 pages every day, and getting re-inspired by reading people’s autobiography, or life stories. There are things inside you of who you really are that might just have to be re-kindled, or discovered for the first time, so allow it to be. Don’t let anybody cut yourself short of who you are, and most importantly, don’t cut yourself short of who you truly are! There is a reason why that dream is placed inside you… And sometimes we need that inspiration to allow it to come to the surface. You might not recognize the reason yet, but that’s when faith and trust play a huge role in all this as well.

I can’t wait to hear how things are going for you, and the changes that are taking place. Keep in mind to do what’s best for you, and don’t expect things to happen from one second to another. Small steps at a time, and that’s completely okay. I keep rooting for you, you got this!

And I will be back with a new blog next week for you 😊
